Rick Caminiti is the Senior Manager of Data Strategy and Engineering at Ameren. He has over 20 years of experience in Data and Analytics, and has acted in almost every role within that space, including Architecture, Sr. Management and Director roles in the retail, food, and manufacturing industries.

Rick is always looking for continuous improvement and modernization opportunities within the data and analytics practice and is currently leading efforts to migrate Ameren's data warehouse platform to the cloud as well as building out a Data Lake environment to enable faster insights with self-service and data science as key drivers.

Throughout this journey into data modernization, Rick has been challenged with finding the right skillsets and the right talent and to build the right operating model and the right team dynamics to execute this vision. The constant question that has to be thought about every day, is "should I hire or should I outsource?".
