Joe Tellez is a technology executive with over 25 years of information technology management experience spanning the water, gas, and electric utilities industry. Joe is a seasoned technology strategist with strong experience in systems integration, technology strategic planning, enterprise architecture, technology implementation, portfolio management and organizational governance. His experience includes definition, development, and management of grid modernization architectures for AMI, OMS/DMS, EMS, customer information & billing, and field force enablement. As the Chief Technology Offer for Tacoma Public Utilities, Joe oversees a variety of business transformational initiatives such as digital transformation and analytics realization through technical sponsorship & leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and application of industry best practices. Joe provides vision for both short-term and long-term strategies to improve utility performance through the effective use of utility technology.
