Description

Power utilities faces big challenges during intense climate events e.g. heavy thunderstorms, forest fire, windstorms etc. These events, frequently reach grid operation, causing shutdowns, equipment damages, and financial compensation to consumers due to service interruption. During these events, field workforce sizing is planned reactively in response to the number of technical service orders. This could result in inadequate teams’ allocation and operation inefficiency. The goal is to optimize field workforce allocation, anticipating the problems caused by intense weather events, reducing travel time and expenses.

It uses two data sources as input:

  • Technical occurrences
  • Climate data
