The electricity consumption behaviors of the consumers are closely related to their sociodemographic status. However, there could be different consumption pattern in the same sociodemographic segment. Clustering customers based on the smart meter data can be a more accurate indicator for their energy behaviors. In addition, mapping the clustering result to social demographic data can provide deep insight of TOU plan design, customer service, distribution, and forecast field.
