Description

In this session we will share a case study on the evolution of Tacoma Power's process for casting a set of three to five year strategic goals that cover the themes of Affordability, Customers, Employees, Environment, Equity, and Resiliency. We will share examples of where we are in the process of bringing these strategic themes to life with specific metrics that measure real time progress on achieving our goals. Finally we will conclude by sharing our quarterly Objective and Key Results methodology for reviewing and setting priorities for the organization and the process for how we are bringing our strategy to life using our data and analytic ecosystem.

Session Takeaways:

  • Example of how a utility can create strategic metrics aligned with strategic goals for the business and drive toward achieving them by keeping a quarterly focus on what is most important.
  • Case study in how the disciplines of data and analytics can show progress toward achieving strategic objectives and help drive data-driven decision making.
